Understand?

Elise was doing something that she shouldn't have been doing and I was getting on to her. It played out like this:

M- "Elise, do not do that again. Understand me?"
E- "Don't say 'understand me', mama!"


And later she was playing like her daddy was in trouble and told him, "Daddy. Don't do that! Understand me?!"
